Hi all, i know this is a forum for students, but everyone seems so kind and helpful on this site, maybe you could help me even though im not a student. I am planning on moving to florence to work and improve my italian. i wish to study hotel management in the future so would be looking for work in a hotel, or at least in hospitality. iv researched a lot on internet etc. and it seeems to me that the best thing to do would be just to go out there and ask around for work. so i need your advice,.... is it possible to pick up work this way?how easy is it to find work in florence? do you have anu advice on which areas of the town have the most job opportunities? perhaps you know of somewhere that is looking for staff! would the ned of march be a suitable time to find such work?
Ciao Cesca, the area with more opportunities is definitely the center of the city where are located hundreds of Hotels, B&B,etc... We work in this sector so I know that there are many many job opportunities for young people expert in tourism that can speak English, Italian and 1,2 languages more.. But it's much better if you stay for a while in town so you can better understand the sector. Anyway..try to contact the managers of this site: www.borgolanoce.it they were looking for a worker some day ago. Ciao and good luck!
